General Law Land is land that was sold by the Crown prior to 1862 and has not yet been brought under the Torrens system of title that operates for land in Victoria. General Law land is based on Deeds and no certificate of title exists.
The Titles Office is no longer charging for conversion at it seeks to have General Law land converted.
